What we collect when you use My School of Gains, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.
Last updated 28 September 2026.
My School of Gains is run by Paper Gains Inc, doing business as School of Gains. Questions to info@papergains.com.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address and phone number when you register, unlock the free lessons or apply, your answers to the trader profile questions, and, if you connect Discord, your Discord ID, username and the email on your Discord account.
We also collect usage data as you use the portal: which link brought you here and when, the marketing tags on it, the page you came from, your approximate location (country, region and city, worked out from your connection at the time), your time zone, browser and device type, your sign-ins, the lessons you start and finish and how far you watched, the tools you use and the numbers you enter, your applications, and your purchases and refunds. We do not keep your IP address on file.
Payments are processed by Whop. We never see your card details. Whop tells us what you bought so it unlocks in your portal.
How we use your information
To deliver and improve our services: managing your portal, keeping your place in the lessons, giving you the community role in Discord, providing customer support, and sending sign-in codes. With your consent, to send reminders and newsletters (which you can stop at any time) and text messages (only if you ticked the texting box). To let a strategist prepare for your application interview. To understand which links, meetups and campaigns bring people in and how the community uses the platform. To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
Information sharing
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties. We share it with the trusted service providers that operate parts of the service for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email), Vimeo (video), Discord (community), Whop (payments) and our customer relationship system, which holds a copy of your contact details, answers and progress so our team can follow up. Each receives only what it needs for its job and is required to keep it confidential. We may also disclose information when required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety or property.
SMS consent and phone numbers
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Texts are sent only if you opted in; reply STOP at any time. See the texting terms.
Emails
Sign-in codes go to the email you gave whenever you ask for one. Reminder emails carry a one-tap link to stop them. Stopping reminders never affects sign-in codes or your portal.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and tracking
The portal uses a small number of cookies: one to keep you signed in, one that remembers the link that brought you here so it gets credit, one anonymous visitor id so your clicks attach to your account when you create it, and short-lived ones while you sign in. No advertising cookies. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; the sign-in cookie is required for the portal to work.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. You can see and change your details in your portal. To exercise any other right, contact us at info@papergains.com with details of your request; we respond within 30 days. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and payment rules require.
Third-party links
The portal links to external sites such as Discord, Vimeo and Whop. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. Review their policies before providing personal information.
Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that we have, we delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Material changes are announced in the portal or by email, and the "last updated" date above changes. Continued use after that means you accept the updated policy.
